OUR STORY

I cannot remember a time when textiles were not part of my life. My passion for the craft was inherited from my mother, who began as a textile teacher before running her own quilting and fabric business. It was she who encouraged me to pursue a degree at the London College of Fashion, an experience that led to a fascinating career as a textile technologist with Marks & Spencer in the UK, where I had the privilege of travelling the world.

In 2012, my family and I relocated to South Africa, where I was immediately drawn to the country’s creative energy and the exciting opportunities it offered. Two years later, I met Lee, then a young technician at Art Lab, where I was one of his clients. Today, he is recognised as one of Cape Town’s leading digital textile printers.

Over the years, I have launched several boutique businesses, and in 2018 Lee joined me in one of these ventures. That collaboration laid the foundation for what would eventually become The Textile Print House, which we officially established in 2023. The business is the perfect union of my expertise in textiles and production and Lee’s exceptional knowledge of digital printing.

At The Textile Print House, our philosophy is built on creating a supportive environment where our team can flourish, grow, and share in the success of the business. We are deeply client-focused, placing great value on the relationships we build. Collaboration, respect, and equality are at the heart of our company, and every team member is considered as important as the next.
